Russian court recognizes cryptocurrency as property for the first time

During the proceedings, it turned out that the defendant has a large amount of money in the cryptocurrency wallet. The court included it in the bankruptcy estate, thus creating a precedent: previously cryptocurrencies were not considered the property of citizens.
It is possible that this precedent will influence the final law on cryptocurrencies in Russia, which should be adopted this September.
